The Valdes Island Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of existing biological and cultural communities of Valdes Island and its environs.

Located within the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Valdes Island is on the western edge of the Strait of Georgia between Gabriola Island and Galiano Island. It has an area of 23 square kilometres, and is 1.6 kilometres wide by 16 kilometres in length.
